Ease Your Stress
Stress is the major cause of many illnesses, insomnia, and relationship issues, and makes most conditions worse! In this class, your group will learn skills for deep relaxation, managing anxious thoughts, and ways to get on top of the stress in their life. Includes several practical handouts and based on my studies in Evidence Based Behavioral Medicine.
Previously presented at LakePointe Hospital, Rowlett, First United Methodist Church of Rowlett, and others.
Making It Through: Tips for Divorce Recovery
This class will cover the aftereffects of the divorce process, ways to communicate with your ex-spouse, and healthy boundaries going forward. In a support-group style format, you will meet others undergoing similar experiences and leave with new tools for a happier life.
Presented at numerous area churches including First United Methodist Church of Rockwall, Texas.
Strong Women Support Group
Women have unique roles and needs in our society, and we are especially gifted at reaching out to others. A confidential place to air challenges and gain support, this is my most popular offering. Group members will receive practical handouts and education on assertiveness, self care and many other topics. Previously presented in my therapy office, at First United Methodist Church of Rockwall, and First Presbyterian Church of Rockwall.
Pain Management
The mind has a strong influence on the level of pain perception. Learning to scale, measure and influence pain levels can lead to more of a sense of control. In this class, clients learn to visualize and examine their physical pain, as well as develop thinking to counteract it. Taught previously at LakePointe Hospital in Rowlett and in my therapy office.
